Clean Surfaces Safely & Naturally with Stuff From Your Kitchen!

Most surfaces around your home can easily be cleaned with kitchen ingredients that you probably have on hand, such as vinegar and liquid dishwashing soap.

Essential oils add a pleasant fragrance; in addition many have antimicrobial properties!

The following natural cleaners are non-toxic, inexpensive and easy to make.

Anti-septic hand soap

  • 250 mL of liquid natural hand and body soap
  • 30 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 20 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
  • 10 drops of lemon essential oil

Combine ingredients together in a plastic bottle or soap dispenser and mix well!

All-purpose spray

  • 1 teaspoon borax
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural liquid dishwashing soap
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops rosemary essential oil

Combine the borax and water in a spray bottle and shake it well.

Add the vinegar, soap, and essential oils and shake again.

Spray on surfaces such as countertops, walls, and woodwork and wipe clean with a sponge!

Borax, vinegar, and so will dissolve dirt and greasy residues on Services around the home. Lavender and Rosemary essential oils have natural antiseptic properties.

Vinegar glass cleaner

  • 2/3 Cup of water
  • 1/3 cup distilled white vinegar
  • Two drops lemon essential oil

Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well. Spray on to surfaces and wipe with a clean, lint-free towel. Adding lemon essential oil gives a pleasant fragrance.

Heavy-duty glass cleaner

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon natural liquid dishwashing soap
  • Two drops lemon essential oil

Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well. Spray on to surfaces and wipe with a clean, lint-free towel. Adding lemon essential oil gives a pleasant fragrance.

Streaky windows

Streaky windows are sometimes caused by a wax buildup from previous cleaners. Use this formula to fix the problem then switch to a simple water and vinegar cleaner.

  • 1/4 cup isopropyl alcohol
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 teaspoon of natural liquid dishwashing soap

Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake well. Spray on to windows and wipe dry with a clean, lint-free towel.

Soapy spray cleanser

This remedy is for grimy, greasy surfaces!

  • 1 teaspoon borax
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup natural liquid dishwashing soap
  • 10 drops orange essential oil

Combine the borax and water in a spray bottle and shake well. Add vinegar, soap, and essential oils and shake again. Spray on surfaces and wipe clean with a sponge, rinse well with water.
